Sale Ads and Family Fun

What a weekend! I feel like I have been gone forever. My family and I visited Pickett State Park in Jamestown, TN. We had a wonderful time! But when you have family fun you also have complete exhaustion... So I am REALLY getting a late start today. The picture that you see is on the right is the lake that is in the park, taken by ME while in a canoe! I have only been in a canoe TWICE in my life time. Once about 13 years ago and then this time. If not for my ten year old son I don't know that I would have survived this trip. He did a great job steering the boat, although I did help him hit the shore SEVERAL times he just kept on going. Cub/Boy Scouts is a wonderful thing! The picture on the left (I wanted the picture to go HERE but this thing has a mind of it's own) is of a lizard that the kids caught in the water. Can you guess who is HOLDING the lizard...my son again! Although my daughters where holding them as well, just didn't get a picture of that...oh well, maybe next time! Now for what you guys really came here for. I have to start out with, I was REALLY tired yesterday when we got home so I might have missed some things so I am sorry. As the week goes on I am SURE that you guys will point out what I missed! ;)
First of all, make sure to get rid of all your "expired" coupons. As I went through my book yesterday I just kept pulling, and pulling, and pulling those 5/31/09 coupons out that I hadn't gotten around to using. Such a depressing time...:( But anyway, I am sure that those slots will be filled again in no time.

That is it for the sale ads...are we getting tired..:) Now lets clean up my email:
Smartsource.com , first of all go here to get any new coupons, I have mentioned some match ups already. There is a coupon for .50 on Betty Crocker icing, when doubled at Kroger you can get this icing any where between .30 and .60.
Ensure -sign in or sign up to receive a $1.25 ic on a pack of Chocolate Ensure
Betty Crocker coupons, okay so $1.15 in coupons for the month doesn't sound REAL good, but that is probably just for me because I have already printed my limit or something. Just sign in or sign up to get the coupons you want/need.
Chadwicks, use CHSALE20 to save 20% on your summer purchases, even clearance items.
Coupons.com - check out the link at the side for new coupons on games like Monopoly and Leapfrog, as well as coupons for those Kraft items, .50 on Chex snack mix can double and Kroger when on sale and get for free, .80/3 ic for Betty Crocker Hamburger helper. Coupons for Tombstone pizza still available, as well as many others!
Rebate - get $4 back when you purchase Pinocchio on DVD or Blu-ray PLUS a package of Sun-Maid Raisin 24 oz. Canister or 6 pack of 1.5 oz cartons
Redplum - they have added a coupon for $1.50 off of Degree deodorant, this is a Target coupon SO if you have another coupon by a manufacturer then you can use BOTH. Go check them out.
Nestle coupons - you have to register to print these coupons.
Victoria Secret - TODAY ONLY and IN STORE ONLY...so if you are not going to the store then don't bother clicking the link...AND you have to be one of the first 100 customers...if you think you can make those requirements THEN here is a link, print this email out, take it to the store, AND you will get a free pair of VS panties. The email also gives you $10 off of $50 for TODAY ONLY and again IN STORE ONLY.
Now to end this monstrosity of a post I would like to point you to some free TN activities. Thanks to Rachel P. for supplying this one:
Friday & Saturday, June 5th & 6th - Blue Plum Festival
The Blue Plum Festival is a free, outdoor, art & music festival in downtown Johnson City. For more information about the festival events visit www.blueplum.org. Hands On! will host the 5th Annual Blue Plum Animation Festival, featuring family-oriented animated films in the former JCPenney Building next to Hands On! Admission to the Museum is buy 1 get 1 FREE during the Blue Plum Festival. Don't forget to visit our special area for some Hands On fun!
Hope everyone enjoyed today's post. We will get smaller now that we are caught up. See you guys tomorrow!

Finds I missed...

Here are some that I found and some that Kim W. pointed out to me. Thanks!

Kmart:
~Cutter Spray $4.49 - $2c (from All You) = $2.49

Kroger:
~Scotch Brite sponge $1, buy 2 and use .75/2c (not sure if Nail Saver is involved on the sale but if so here is a $1 coupon on 3 for that product)
~Country time Lemonade and Koolaid canisters $1, use $1/2 c from coupons.com at the side for the Koolaid
~buy 4 get 1 pk. of Oscar Meyer wieners for free- I mentioned the $1/2c that we printed from coupons.com but Kim K. pointed out to me the $1 off of one pk. that can be found in the All You magazine, Thanks! Use (2) of the $1/2c and (1) of the $1c and you will get 5 pk. for $2!!!!
~Miracle Whip $2.49 -$1c = $1.49

Walmart:
Triscuit $2 - $1ic = $1
Mini Wheat/Raisin Bran cereal $2 - $1ic = $1

Remember if you can't make it to Kroger that you CAN PRICE MATCH ALL THE $1 ITEMS AT WALMART!!! So if you live local and Walmart is the only place you go then you can still get in on these great deals and use your coupons. Most of the coupons that have been quoted this week wouldn't be doubled at Kroger anyway. The only thing you won't be able to do is the BOGO type of sales, they won't honor those.

Just a heads up, in time past we heard about a coupon machine that is suppose to be in the front of the CVS store. You supposedly could go up to the machine with your card and print out coupons just for your use, well our CVS finally got one! Thank you Kim W. for passing this along. The machine should be between the first and second aisle. Go give this a try and remember you can use those CVS coupons with manufacturer coupons to double those savings at the store.

Thanks to Gayle for letting me know that the Smartsource link was messed up. I did fix that earlier. Again thanks for reading and for clicking the links on the site.

Running behind

I must apologize to all you ladies that have come by the blog looking for new information only to realize that I had yet to add anything. Well I am FINALLY getting around to doing a post. I have had so many coupons this week from the Kraft.com coupons/coupons.com, to the All You magazine coupons, plus at Kraft magazine that came that had coupons, a Target coupon booklet, my mother-in-laws coupons, and then the Sunday paper! That doesn't include the coupons that I will be getting from my coupon buddy. I had to take this morning just to get my coupons figured out so that I COULD talk about them. ~Irish Spring .50c

~Speed Stick .75c

I had every intention of doing a post on Saturday but well Wormy and the sickness got in the way. She had to go to the doctor, get blood work, blah, blah, blah, yada, yada, yada, and by the time I got home I didn't FEEL like doing anything on this thing. Anyway, she is still sick and now my first born is sick as well so this week will probably be a hit and miss thing for me. I am not getting that much sleep so I am having a real hard time wrapping my brain around some of these deals, so if I miss something just forgive me and leave a comment to help me out!

I hope that you all had a great weekend. Check back soon.

I have had a wonderful, slightly relaxing Spring Break. I am sorry that it is over. It also makes me really glad that we just have about 27 more days of school! I want to just push through with no more time off and get to that complete break of Summer Vacation!

I have to thank God that I was able to visit my dad this past Friday. I don't get to see him very often and my sister and I were able to take him to dinner for his birthday. It was really nice just to get together with him and hang out like old times.

Weekly sales via Felicia

First of all just to let you guys know I am having some trouble with my email. It seems that email is going out but I can't get in to come in, so I need your help. Since before I started blogging I have been emailing alot of you and I still do that just to let you know the blog is up. Well today when I send that email there will be a request for a comment here. Just let me know if you are getting my emails. Thanks!

Since I won't have any email deals we are just going to go through the sale ads. Remember that I pick what I think is the best deal. That does not mean everything on sale, just the stuff that I think is really good.

CVS and Walgreens, plus sale Ads

I did 2 Walgreens orders and 2 CVS orders and this was my haul, total oop: $8.32

First of all the one of my items messed up and it messed up me having some ECBs to use on my last order so I am just going to assume that everything worked as it should have and give you that information in case you want to copy what I did.

Walgreens: Started with $10 RR from Dove deal and $3.50 RR from Toothpaste deal
Order #1:
Scotch tape 4 pk $1.99 (I just needed some)
x4 Dentene Ice gum (clearance) .65 - (3) .75 c = .35 (it would only take 3 of the coupons because it was over..make sure to tell them to mark the coupons for .65 so you will get them for free)
Walgreens water $2.99
- $3.50 RR
= $2.48 oop

Order #2:
Listerine $3
Reach floss $3
Reach 2 pk toothbrush $3
- $3 off of these 3 products
Newspaper $2 (wanted more coupons)
Bic Soleil razor 4 pk refills $4.19 (clearance) - $2 ESV c = $2.19 (can use $2 off from newspaper as well to make this .19!, my oop was so low I couldn't use the additional $2 off)
- $10 RR
total oop = $1.41, received $6 RR

CVS: Started with $2 ECB and $4 ECB
Order #1:
Pantene shampoo $3.50 - $1 = $2.50
Pantene styler $3.50 - free with shampoo purchase c = free

Crest toothpaste .75 - .75 c = free (clearance)
Dry Idea deo $2.99 - $2 c (on http://www.coupons.com/) = .99
- $2 ECB
- $4 ECB
= total oop $2.88; received $2 ECB on pantene, $2 ECB on deo, $4.99 ECB on Irish spring
(Just a note, I wanted to do the toothpaste instead of the irish spring but it was completely out. This would have made $2.99 - .75 c = $2.24 get $2.99 ECB so total oop would have been just tax)

Order #2:
Dove Deodorant $3.50 - $1.25 c= $2.25
x2 Dove Shampoo $8 - (2) $1.50 = $5
Dove Conditioner $4 - $1.50 = $2.50
- $4.99 ECB
- $2 ECB
- $2 ECB
= oop $1.55 (tax may be different, remember I didn't get to use one of the $2 ECBs because it didn't print out originally on the first order)
Received $5 ECB back

I had no coupons inserts this week. Nothing in the parade magazine, nothing. Make sure to pick up an All You magazine at Walmart when it hits the stores, I believe it is 2/20/09. If you got the magazine in the mail then flip through it because there is a coupon for .50 off the magazine so you can go to the store and purchase another and another and another, just keep rolling the coupons into more magazines. There were some fairly decent ones this time. I will try to find a list to share with you soon.

Have a wonderful relaxing Sunday. Don't forget if you go to CVS and you want to save the most money go to www.iheartcvs.com, then CVS coupon links, print out the coupons that expire TODAY and use them. This weeks trip will be hard to plan due to the lack of pricing in the ad. If you find something really good feel free to pass it along to the others.

One more thing, I mentioned the Shop 4 Less store yesterday and how you get a special card that you fill with stamps and then you can take it and use it on their special deals, I need to explain that they have about 8 special deals a week and that the card can only be used on 1 of those deals. For example, if you go this week and you buy $40 worth of groceries then you can use the card next week (you could turn around and use it right then but I remember something on the deal starting next week) to get a free pizza. By $40 more and you can use it for another one of the specials and so on. Don't forget they have good deals on just some of the regular items as well. I hope this helps those who live in that local area.
