CVS and Walgreens Black Friday

Okay, this most assuredly is going to bite me in the butt, but I am going to tell you guys this secret anyway, just in case some of you don't know it yet, CVS and WALGREENS start their BLACK FRIDAY on THURSDAY!!!! Their sales normally last the whole weekend starting with Thursday and ending on Saturday or Sunday, BUT trust me in this if you want this stuff you better be there on the day of the sale or you won't get it...at least not at my local store.

To get a jump on CVS's ad go to www.iheartcvs.com. They have ad scans so you can look at the paper. They also have matched all the coupons with the sales. Just in case they didn't mention the $1 coupon for the 360 Colgate toothbrush just ahead over to www.colgate.com and click on special offers to pick it up. CVS does run a three day sale that will start on Thursday NOT Friday.

To see the Walgreens ad click here . I have already put you on the ad scan so you can see the pictures and visualize it better. Just to make sure you don't miss it let me mention that some of the free items are on a THREE day sale, some items are on sale ONLY on THURSDAY, and some of them are on sale for a few hours on FRIDAY...so make sure of the day that your item is going to be available and on sale. Here are a few of the coupons that I found to match some of the good items:

~Dove Ultimate Visibly Smooth deodorant is $3.99 - $1c, get $3.99 RR
~Infusium 23 Hair Care $4.99 - $2 c (I think from All You) get $4.99 RR
~Vaseline Intensive Care lotion $1.99 - $1c = .99

These are not all the items with RR but these are the ones that I had coupons for. Make sure to look at the ad and match up what you have.

First of all I want to direct you guys to Jennifer's Blog and Alicia's blog. Jennifer has some great coupons, coupon codes, and some freebie sites and Alicia has some great information on Kmart and the upcoming double coupons. Money Saving Tip #13: We all by some kind of bread and sometimes it can get very expensive. One way to cut down on the cost of your bread purchases is to purchase from a bread store or from a place like UGO (United Grocery Outlet). (Thanks R.P. and K.W.)

Some of you ladies have expressed that you don't currently have a working printer or that you have no printer at all so you aren't going to the coupon links. Go ahead and click on the link to print and when the page comes up to print go to the bottom and click on the help button most of the time a page will pop up so that you can have the coupon mailed to you.

One more thing, I am so glad that you guys think that $67 is a good deal for a jar of Heinz turkey gravy...:) My thanks to DixieDiva (Jennifer). She was the only one that caught my mistake. Amazing how the brain doesn't catch certain things when they are just close enough to what we thought it was suppose to be. I did fix it, again thanks for the feedback.

Make sure you pick up the right sizes for the deals to work.

I hope that this will help some of you this week. I am actively looking everyday for the Black Friday rumor ads for Wal-Mart, as soon as I see it you will have it as well. They drag their feet more than the other stores. Just a heads up someone told me that the great Wii deal on the Sam's site was pulled. I haven't looked into it myself but I thought it sounded too good to be true.

Fabulous Friday, Oct. 31st

First of all I hope every has a Happy Halloween. Remember to keep those kids close. Crime seems to run rampant on this day.

Next I need to tell you guys that I went to Kmart but it was a total bust. I decided before I went that if I didn't need it and it was going to be above $1 I wasn't going to buy it, I have so much put back right now I am TOTALLY running out of room. Well anyway, I hit the Oak Ridge Kmart and the stores were practically bare! Everything that I had planned on getting that was on sale and I had an awesome coupon for was already sold out. I was very disappointed. I did get to participate in the Kroger savings that was yesterday from 4 to 12 midnight, so that made me feel a little better, but not much. I hope that you guys have better luck at your stores. I also hope that you made a trip earlier in the week because now may be too late, but if you are in the area I would still give it a try.

Money saving Tip #3:
Okay those holidays are coming up. We all know what happens on Thanksgiving and Christmas, we eat like pigs and feel like stuffed hogs! We always walk away from the table feeling guilty and saying, "Boy I need to join a gym!" Then society tells us that we have to have a New Year's resolution and what is the first we thing we think of it is none other than JOINING A GYM. How many of you have obtained a gym membership, paid hundreds of dollars and then never even went to the facility? Here is a better way. Most gyms have a trial membership, right? If they don't advertise it then ask about it. Tell them you would like to try it out for a month first. That way if you don't like that gym you can move on to another one and try their membership...if you live in a big town with 12 gyms well you just might get a whole year for free! But I digress, I know that it is cheaper to buy the year membership at most gyms than it is to pay that monthly fee, BUT I am here to tell you that you need to at least do a one month free trial to see if you will stick with it. Trust me buying the membership will not make you get you shape. If you buy the membership but have no time to go to the gym all you did was waste your money. So first put a little effort into making the time to go AND then pay for the membership. I still like the free gym for a year thing, don't you?
