All I have in Email to Share

Expiring today at Chadwicks, get an additional 40% off of one item when you purchase any two items, use code CHSAVE40...don't forget to purchase through ebates to receive 3% back on this purchase.

Expiring today: Victoria Secret free shipping with any bra purchase with code SHOPVSBRAS. Also get 20% off any clothing product with code 20ITEM...this one ends on Wednesday. VS will let you use up to 3 codes at a time so you can combine these two and get the 20% AND the free shipping if you purchase a bra and another item, I think you will have to buy 2 items but maybe you could use both on the bra purchase. Make sure to go through EBATES to get money back on this purchase.

Avon - free shipping on any order with code FSWER

Mission Toritillas - $1 printable coupon

Hooked on Phonics - free shipping on a $25 order with code FSWORK, expires October 31, 2009

Leapfrog Princess and the Frog game or book - free shipping on this product until 1/10/10 with code FSPATFL

Heartland America get free shipping and $10 off any order with code GCC4-1118, expires 12/31/09. I will be honest the G could be a 6 or an 8...so if you have problems try the numbers...but I think it is a G. Also the $10 off only works from a certain catalog so if you put in an item that doesn't work then try another one. Here is one item that I found that would be relatively cheap: pair of FRS/GMRS handheld radios that work up to 20 miles away for $14.99 so they would be $4.99!!! Here is their item number GC-85982. Just to let you know it looks like items that start with GC are in this catalog so that should help when just looking at the website for an item. If you find something cheaper share it in comments so we can all purchase!

Enjoy your day.

Monday, lets wheel and deal!

Jennifer's blog - she is back and boy have we missed her finds! Make sure to check her out. It is amazing that we have been thinking along the same lines. Kroger:
They are still having the buy 10 items get $5 off deal. Looks like they have added some new things to the sale. I am going to list some of them that we have coupons for and then just list some that are really good deals. Something else you might want to do is go to http://www.shortcuts.com/. You have to join, then you enter your Kroger card number and you load coupons to your card. I have been really hesitant to do this because I thought I couldn't use my paper coupons at the same time, but you can! I bought 2 jars of Ragu last week and I used my paper coupon for .75 off of two, plus they took off .50 and $1 from my shortcuts coupons! You can also go to http://www.kroger.com/ and load PG esaver coupons to your card, I have yet to try to purchase a PG product with a paper coupon and use the card, I am hoping that it will let me use both. If you have tried this and it worked for you then let me know and I will pass it along to the others.

Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2008

Well this is a momentous day. Whether you voted for Barak O'Bama or not, history is definitely being made. I hope that he can live up to his promises. And regardless of his beliefs and values, which greatly differ from my own, I will be praying for him as he becomes our President.

I hope you have all joined the Wendy's email list...I just received $1 coupon for a burger. Sorry it has a personal link for me so there is no way that I can post it, but I can email it to about 7 friends. If you are interested email me OR leave your email in the comments section and I will send it to you.

CVS deals I missed: (ic = internet coupon)
St. Ives product $2.99 - $2 ic = .99 (ic was listed on a blog post recently)
3 Hallmark cards for .99 a piece get $3 ECB with a purchase of 3 cards...so you get all your money back

Save your $10 ECB from Pepsi this week and do again next week. CVS on slickdeals for next week says that the Pepsi will be 3/$10 BUT the chips will be 2/$4 AND if you spend $20 you still get $10 ECB back.

Here was my shopping trip, keep in mind I had every intention of doing the throat coolers with the BOGO (buy one get one) coupon but they didn't have any so I had to readjust my thinking while in the store. First I will do my actually trip then I will show you what I had hoped to do, just in case you go to a different CVS and they have the coolers.

Order #1:
St. Ives bodywash $2.99 - $2 ic = .99
Excedrin for migraine $1.99 - $2 ic = -.01
Herbal Essence shampoo $2.99 - $1c = $1.99
3 American greeting cards .99 a piece = $2.97
Used $1 ECB, $1.50 ECB, $1 ECB
Total oop was around $2.44
got back $1 ECB and $3 ECB

Order #2:
5 - 12pk of pepsi $15
4 - Gatorade 4/$5
$20 - $1 ECB - $3 ECB =
$17.24 oop, plus $10 ECB back

If I could have used the throat cooler in the first order I wold have paid around $8 oop and received $9.98 ECB that I would have used my second order making itaround $7.50, both orders would have then been around $15.50 instead of the $19.68 that I had to pay. Keep this in mind when you go to the store.

Friday, Jan. 16, 2009

Oh, boy is it cold! We started at a blistery 5 degrees this morning! I have no idea how "warm" it is now. Try to keep warm.

Here are a couple of things that I did yesterday that are still good until Sunday:
CVS, the container where the milk is located had some peelie coupons for .50 off of Nesquik, can use this at Kroger this week and get them for free, also coupons for $1 off of a oreo cookie and a gallon of milk...use at Walmart, will explain in a moment. They also have some Loreal vive shampoo that was marked down to $1.25 would be great with a $1 coupon if yours hasn't expired. CVS brand shampoo and conditioner that is similar to Frucitis Garnier is clearanced down to $1...go to www.iheartcvs.com and print off the coupon that is good for $3 of any CVS brand product buy 3 bottles and get them all for free.

Walmart sales and what I got that was good:
Suave lotion .97 - $1 c = -.03
Oreo cookie (in the christmas clearance area) $1.50 - $1 c = .50 + buy the milk, use coupon from CVS
White Cloud tissue paper $2.24 - $1 ic = $1.24
Mini pringles $1.88 - $1 c = .88
Strawberry or Blueberry muffin mini wheats $2.50 - $1 c = $1.50
Purina cat Chow $4.33 - $4 ic = .33!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Scrubbing Bubbles $1.90 (price match from Walgreens) - $1 c = .90
Kotex lightdays $1 - .75c = .25
That would have been an impressive ticket if that was all that I needed to get but alas it was not, oh well.

Good Housekeeping magazine coupon list:
Pounce cat treats $1 off of 2
Refresh tears $1 off of 1, $3 off of 2
Fanci-full hair color .55
Kozy Shack no sugar (looks like pudding) .25
Healthy Choice meals Buy 5 get one free
$5 off of $10 at Build a Bear
Farm Rich Cheese sticks $1
Weight Watcher snacks $1 off of 2
Texas Toast .50
Pepperidge Farm bread .50
Seapak item $1

I got a subscription to this magazine from a catalina at Kroger. I just sent in my little certificate and got a 12 month free subscription. I don't really read the articles but I do so love the few extra coupons that I get. Sorry I don't know how much the magazine is in the store, so you will have to determine if there is enough here for you to purchase. The rest of these links are links that I found either from my email box OR from just thumbing through the Good Housekeeping magazine. Make sure that if you are getting magazines in your home that you are thumbing through them, IF they list a website LOOK IT UP, lots of times they have coupons listed on their site. Most of the coupon listings will be under Promotions or Special offers.

Dec. 15th, Monday

Christmas idea: I really love this idea. I received one of these as a bridesmaid's gift and they are really neat. It is called Wish a Pearl. (Just go to www.google.com and type in Wish a Pearl and look at all the different sites that pop up, it is sold at Target for $33.95, or at Amazon for $12.95 + $4.95 shipping.) The kit contains a oyster, an opening tool, a charm, and a necklace. The recipient gets to pry open the oyster, push around in the gooey stuff and dig out their very own pearl! Then you just open the little cage on the charm, and you have a beautiful pearl necklace. This gift is guaranteed to thrill any woman, young or old.

Before I get started I have to say that I had a distasteful experience at my local Walgreens. I purchased two children's toothpaste items that were 2/$4 used two coupons and got a RR for $2. Then I was going to use the $2 coupon on my next order, and well it just wouldn't let me. Some sorry excuse about how the purchase was over...the total price was $5.xx and the tax was .92. I told them to call a manager because it should go, well he looked at my receipt and said, "You used a lot of coupons.." I said, "Yeah, but it is still not over and I should be able to use my RR." He just commented that it wouldn't take it so that was that. I gave my RR to someone in the store and told them I hoped they had better luck and I wouldn't be coming back. IF, and that is a BIG IF, I go to Walgreens it will be at another store. Why make an offer that a person can't even use. The same thing happened to my friend last week. They seem to have a problem letting you use your coupons if they have something on sale. If you do decide to visit their establishment and you use RRs make sure to use it first before you use any other coupons. I wish each of you luck.

Regardless of my disdain for Walgreens at the moment they do have some good deals IF they will let you use your coupons:

I wish all of you a Happy Thanksgiving. Remember there is always something to be thankful for, one thing could be that God allowed you to get out of the bed for one more day.

Coupon Codes/Rebate companies

Another great way to save money is by using coupon codes for online purchases. There are lots of websites that offer these codes. Here are just a few:

1. http://www.retailmenot.com/
Search for the store of interest and a whole slew of codes will appear before your very eyes.

2. http://dealspl.us/
Can search by store as well. Has many different coupon codes available for a variety of stores and items.

3. forums.slickdeals.net
Search by store. Individuals post scenarios, clearance items and links, and the best way to use the codes to get the best deal.

4. http://www.dealighted.com/?gclid=CO7U-riE6pMCFRMYagodmCjbVw
Many different forums listed on this one site. Search by store or by item that you are looking to purchase. Sends you to the forum with the information.

5. http://www.thokalath.com/coupons/free_printable_coupon.php
Has coupon codes.

Another way to increase your purchasing power when ordering online is by using a rebate company. I have only used two so those are all that I will discuss.

1. http://www.upromise.com/
You can make purchases through upromise and save money for your children's college education. It also allows other family members to make purchases to help your children save for college.

2. http://www.ebates.com/refer-a-friend/0809promo.htm?referrerid=nSc0IeinlrEH6nGmWXhEkA%3D%3D
This is my personal favorite. When you make a purchase through ebates you will get a percentage of your purchase back. Every three months you will receive your earnings (there is a payment schedule listed at their website) through pay pal or by check as long as they exceed $5.01. Using the coupon codes above makes this so easy!

3. Hidden freebie -
