State Parks

If you are searching for things to do this summer that won't cost you an arm and a leg then why not look at state parks. They offer lots of nice family activities at no cost.
My family and I for the last month or so have been visiting state parks in our local area and hiking some of their trails. Our longest travel time has been one hour and our shortest time just a few minutes from home. I wanted to share our latest adventure with you.
Above is some pictures of Cumberland Falls State Park around Williamsburg, KY. The first point is taken from an observation deck that anyone can get to by walking down some well constructed stairs. The second photo was taken from the Eagle Bend Trail on the opposite side of the Cumberland River. To get this view you only have to hike a short ways out off the road.
Now look at the next post to find what you will see at the end of the Eagle Bend Trail.
